Fort Lauderdale-based Shula Burger and a Starbucks opened in the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Wednesday.
Broward County Mayor Barbara Sharief, Don Shula, NFL Hall of Fame coach and founder of the Shula’s Steak House brand and other officials gathered for a grand opening in Terminal 1, where the new eateries are located.
They’re the first of 25 new food spots that Maryland-based HMSHost will bring to the airport with partnering companies Master ConcessionAir and Tarra Enterprises, Inc.
“Shula Burger is excited to be a part of the revitalization of the FLL dining experience,” said Dave Shula, President of Shula’s Steak House in a news release.
