Market Square, a shopping center in Kendall, has signed several new leases and is now more than 80 percent leased, according to Gadinsky Real Estate LLC.
The 70,000-square-foot shopping center has about 12,000 square feet of space remaining.
The shopping center is home to businesses including Publix, Walgreens,Chase Bank, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, Metro PCS, Miami Dentistry, Hair Cuttery, Subway and Little Caesars.
Legendary Miami Dolphins head coach Don Shula’s new burger restaurant, Shula Burger, plans to open its first Miami-Dade County location at Market Square in the coming weeks.
Shula has opened his burger concepts at Tampa International Airport and the Postcard Inn at Holiday Isle Islamorada in the Florida Keys. According to the restaurant’s website, Shula Burger will open in Quay Shopping Center in Fort Lauderdale and Delray Marketplace in Delray Beach this fall.
Market Square, which is owned by College Park II LLC, currently has retail spaces in one of three buildings, ranging from 1,207 to 2,143 square feet. There is also the opportunity to combine several bays to create a 3,888- square-foot space.
“We are actively negotiating other leases, but there are still excellent opportunities for retailers who want to be in the heart of vibrant market area,” said Seth Gadinsky, principal of Gadinsky Real Estate. “With nearly 156,000 residents in the area, plus the center’s proximity to Miami Dade College, Market Square is a prime location for both national and local retailers.”
Market Square is located east of Florida’s Turnpike, at the southwest corner of Southwest 104th Street and 117th Avenue, about a mile from Miami Dade College’s main campus.
